CONDO/HOTEL PROJECT SELLS $112M IN FOUR HOURS

CAPE CORAL - Grosse Pointe Development Company reserved nearly 75% of condo/hotel units in one day at the Resort at MarinaVillage at Tarpon Point, said Nick Cross, sales and marketing director of the developer.

Sales were released during an event open to the public Jan. 14. Homebuyers entered a drawing to reserve their units with a $25,000 deposit check. Within four hours, 133 of the 184 units available had been reserved.

"We had Realtors, brokers, homebuyers from Naples, international buyers, retired couples and families all vying to be a part of the first luxury condo/hotel in the Cape," said Cross. "In four hours, we had shattered all of our previous sales records - recording $112 million in transactions."

The Resort at MarinaVillage will feature a 19-story luxury building overlooking the marina and the Caloosahatchee River, with two- and three-bedroom condo/hotel suites ranging from 1,225sf to 2,225sf. Prices range from $630,000 to $1.36 million.
